Being that the Concord Little League is a nonprofit organization, sponsorships are crucial to its sustainability. The funding goes towards a wide variety of items such as uniform costs, grants for low income players, field maintenance, Opening Day and other league events, team equipment, and The Challenger Program for players with special needs. Providing perspective on the significant impact of sponsorships, Secretary at the Concord Little League Tiffany Anderson notes, “In a very real way, when you sponsor a Little League team, you’re sponsoring a memory. You’re sponsoring a kid feeling like they’re a part of something bigger than they are. You’re sponsoring sportsmanship, teamwork, and community pride. When you sponsor a Little League team, you’re sponsoring the future.”
MORryde has had the honor of sponsoring the Concord Little League in the past and will have the opportunity to do so again in 2019. We feel fortunate to be a part of the Concord Little League for many reasons, but one reason hits close to home. The founding members of the league, Irv and his wife, Linda Stender, are the uncle and aunt of our owners, brothers Bob Jr. and Rodney Moore. Bob Moore Jr. remembers the thousands of hours Irv put into all aspects of building the site and the league. He was a great guy with a big heart and an outstanding love for his community. We only hope we can strive for the same.
Best of luck to all teams this season!
